Stephanie Nickse has more than a decade of experience practicing law. She began her legal career in the litigation department of a prominent Danbury, Connecticut, law firm earning promotions and recognition for her legal skills, writing, oral argument, negotiations and overall dedication to clients. Five years later, she opened S.B. Nickse Law Offices, LLC, a Fairfield County litigation law practice.
Whether Attorney Nickse’s client contact is an in-house attorney, business owner or manager, or the client herself, S.B. Nickse Law Offices, LLC is equally dedicated to its clients and offers excellent communication and dedication to clients, their priorities and obtaining meaningful results. Part of her law firm’s success is the fact that Ms. Nickse truly enjoys the practice of law, analyzing cases, finding creative solutions to legal disputes, and transforming client’s legal issues from formidable to fixed.
In addition to practicing law, Attorney Nickse enjoys giving back to the community. She is a past board member of Housatonic Habitat for Humanity, current board member of Westport Young Women’s League, member of the Connecticut Bar Association and other Fairfield County bar associations. She is a career long member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyer’s Association and has been named Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers since 2014. She devotes her time to numerous pro bono clients each year through Statewide Legal Services of CT, Inc.’s pro bono consumer legal service program, so called Call4Law and non-legal volunteer work such as cooking for a local food kitchen that feeds the hungry and/or homeless. She has repeatedly spoken at presentations about Landlord-Tenant law in Connecticut organized by Sterling Education Services, Inc. as well as judged numerous middle school mock trials organized by Civics First CT, Inc.
S.B. Nickse Law Offices, LLC maintains its principal office in Danbury, Connecticut but realizes the value to clients in having other office locations. For this reason, Attorney Nickse meets clients in Westport, Stamford and Greenwich, and other locations on an as needed basis. For clients who live far away or frequently travel far, we regularly offer conference calls in lieu of in person meetings.
Most of our clients live or have business locations in Danbury, Ridgefield, Redding, New Fairfield, Brookfield, Bethel, Newtown, New Milford, Weston, Westport, Fairfield, Southport, Bridgeport, Norwalk, New Cannan, Darien, or other Connecticut towns and cities. And most of our litigation practice is pending in Danbury Superior Court, Bridgeport Superior Court, Norwalk Superior Court and Stamford Superior Court, and includes the Judicial Districts, G.A. matters, Housing Courts/Housing Sessions. At times, an appeal may take us to Hartford where Connecticut’s Appellate Court and Supreme Court are located. Similarly, federal cases are heard in Connecticut’s federal courts around the state.
When Attorney Nickse is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and being outdoors. She also loves the theater, music and traveling.
